Biography
Renee D'Angelo is an up and coming singer, songwriter, and performer from Long Island, NY. At a very young age, Renee discovered her passion for music. She started singing and performing professionally at 6 years old at various local fundraisers, festivals, recording studios throughout Long Island, and in her home recording studio built by her parents.
At the age of 13, Renee started teaching herself guitar and developed her love for songwriting. She started performing her originals at various open mics and recording demos in her home studio. She soon realized that her original music was a way to express herself with music and became hooked. She started collaborating with local musicians to develop and hone her craft as a songwriter.
She has shared the stage with famous musicians including Lenny Coco from Lenny Coco and the Chimes, Tony award winner Henry Haid, recording artists Brooke Hogan and Jordan Knight, and more. She has competed in Apollo Theaters Amateur Night and was a 3rd place finalist for Orlando, Florida's Fashion Rock Spring Fest 2004.
At the age of 21, Renee was crowned My Country 96.1 Next Big Country Star. Her original song "Jameson & Jack" was featured on My Country 96.1. Renee headlined the 2015 Freedom Festival for country star Lee Brice at The Penny Saver Amphitheater. That same month, Renee released her first studio EP Jameson & Jack which has been listened to worldwide and recognized by various radio stations nationwide.
Renee performs on the weekends at various restaurants, vineyards, breweries, and marinas all over Long Island. She is known for not only her originals but also her eclectic repertoire of covers including songs from all genres, styles and decades.
Renee released her long awaited album "495" in February and is so grateful for all the love and support she has received!
